Hario V60
The most popular drip cone of specialty coffee. Clean, bright and aromatic, in exchange for a little technique to the verter.

The V60 is a 60-degree cone with spiral stripes and a single large hole in the bottom. It is used with a conical paper filter. As water comes out with little resistance, the rate of discharge and grinding decide almost everything: it is a method that rewards practice.
A basic recipe: 15 g medium-fine ground coffee and 250 g water at 93-100 ° C. Start with a 50 g bloom, wait 45 seconds and pour for tandas until you reach 250 g by minute 1: 50. The coffee should end at about 3 minutes.
- In favor: very clean and clear cup, ideal for coffee of origin and clear nuts.
- In favour: the plastic model is very hot and well preserved.
- Against: it calls for the verb to be recorded; small changes alter the result.
- Against: you need specific conical filters.
There's size 01, for 1-2 cups, and 02, for up to 4. The plastic one costs €7-12 and is the one that best retains the heat; the ceramic or glass one, €20-30. The filters leave at €5-8 the 100 package. A swan-neck kettle helps a lot, but it's not essential.
Cheapest alternative: any cone with Melitta filters and a normal kettle, pouring water on the back of a spoon to soften the jet.
This coffee bar runs on coffee… literally. And the odd ko‑fi.
