Cocinoa tips
Did you know you can install Cocinoa as an app and get alerts on your phone?
Put it on the home screen of your phone or computer and choose which alerts you get: meal reminders, pantry items about to expire or invitations to tastings.

Cocinoa works in any browser, but it's nicer to use as an app: with its own icon, full screen and no hunting for the tab.
Install it
At the bottom of the page you'll find the Install app button. On Android and on a computer, it opens the browser's install dialogue. On iPhone and iPad, it explains the three steps: the browser's Share button, Add to Home Screen and Add. Cocinoa will appear alongside your apps.
Alerts even when it's closed
In Notifications, the Alerts on this device card has the Turn on alerts button. Your browser will ask for permission and, from then on, alerts arrive as system notifications, even when Cocinoa is closed. Tapping one takes you straight to whatever it's about.
On iPhone and iPad, alerts only arrive when Cocinoa is installed on the home screen, so install it first and turn them on from there.
You decide what you get
In What you want to get, the On your phone and browser column sets which alerts are sent as notifications. The most useful ones are switched on by default:
- the reminder about tomorrow's meals;
- pantry items that are about to expire;
- the steps of your preserves and your brewing batches;
- invitations to tasting games;
- comments on your recipes.
Others, such as likes or new followers, stay off until you turn them on. And if you get tired of them, Turn off removes them from that device.
Turn them on in Notifications.
