Electric drum toaster
A rotating drum with resistance, like a professional miniature toaster. Tanks of up to half a kilo, programs and less smoke.
- Indicative price
- €400–700
- Capacity
- 250–454 g
In an electric drum toaster, the grains rotate into a cylinder heated by resistance, as in professional toasters. The nut lasts 14-20 minutes and leaves more time to develop the taste than hot air.
The Behmor 1600 + supports up to 454 g, although for a Full City + it is recommended half a pound; it has smoke suppression and is not designed for very dark bears. The Gene Cafe CBR-101 is about 250 g, with a maximum of about 300, in a transparent camera that is broken, and needs to get the smoke out.
- In favour: medium and uniform tannas.
- In favour: programs and time control.
- Against: expensive and bulky.
- Against: In some models it is difficult to see or hear the cracks.
Safety: ventilate or remove the smoke with a tube to the outside, never leave it alone and clean the shell on each side.
Guidance prices: Behmor 1600 +, 400-550 €; Gene Cafe, 550-700 €. See that you have a window to see the grain, manual control and integrated cooling. Cheapest alternative: the assembly of decaper and panifier.
